Let's go find your healing place!
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, committed to helping YOU learn how to develop new ways of dealing with stress, illness, and relationships with yourself and others. My work focuses on exploring strengths and loveable qualities that can be called upon to help you be more unconditionally loving toward yourself and others. I believe in hearing your story, in your words, and having a collaborative relationship to find the answers you need for lasting wellness and recovery.
I open my door to you wanting help with issues that have become a unique, yet troublesome, part of your life, many times causing you to feel underserved, misunderstood, or forgotten. I know you seek out therapy to get an unbiased collaboration, and in many cases a shared experience, to be able to find solutions to those problems that are interfering with your everyday life, including your safety.
As a LMFT with an extensive background as a Psychiatric and Geriatric Registered Nurse, I possess knowledge and skills from the medical world that have allowed me to be a source of added education information for my clients and colleagues. I am also a Veteran, highly experienced with the unique behavioral health needs of Veterans of all eras. Geriatric and dementia care are additional specialties. I am also experienced in working with healthcare workers trying to prevent burnout in their careers. I welcome you from every walk of faith and spirituality.
There are times when you will feel as if there is no way out of whatever it is you're dealing with, or that no one can relate to your experience and therefore have nothing to offer you. One of the greatest gifts I can give you is a genuine, unbiased interest in who you have been in life and, even more, a shared experience (or willingness to learn about yours) and ability to talk to you in ways you can connect with and feel understood. That's who I am.
I look forward to meeting you and joining you on your journey to healing and peace. If you’re interested in scheduling a consultation with me, please send an appointment request. If you are a military veteran or active duty, or a family member, you can go to GiveAnHour.com to register to see me at no cost.
Peace,
Karen
